This website is the the online complement to the print journal, Monday Night, and serves as a place where you can learn about the creation of our fine publication, read some poetry, stories and essays from the excellent writers who have appeared on our pages, and buy a copy for yourself.
This is a provisional website until the new one is up and running.

Thanks to all who sent their work! Submissions reached a record high this reading period, but we've made our final decisions on the work to appear in Issue 8. The reading period for Issue 9 will open in September 2009.

Monday Night on the Beeb
David Gaffney, (MN Issue Five), was interviewed on the BBC Radio Three show "The Verb" in June of 2006. The program also featured Gaffney reading later in 2006.
Keija Parssinen wins poetry prize
Keija Parssinen's, (MN Issue Five), poem entitled "Repentence for a Feminist Reading of On the Road" received first prize in the Country Mouse's summer poetry contest. More of Parssinen's poems are forthcoming in Country Mouse as well as Her Circle Ezine
Marc Phillips wins international fiction prize
Marc Phillips (MN Issue Four), was the overall winner of the 11th Fish International Short Story Prize with his story "The Mountains of Mars." His prize is 10,000 Euros and his work will be the title story of the 2005 Fish Anthology. The book was launched at the West Cork Literary Festival in Bantry, Co. Cork on June 29, 2005, where Marc was on hand to read his winning story. He appreciates any comments or questions about his work.
